Helpful Information
This section will address how to reach Bright, Victoria, as well as details about wedding venues, gift information, and what to bring to the event. Plus, we’ll share a whole lot of fun facts about Bright and suggestions for things to do during your stay!
Getting to Bright
From Melbourne by Private Car
The fastest way is to travel north-east along the M31 Hume Freeway and take the Snow Road east through Milawa to join the Great Alpine Road at Gapsted, following it south until you reach Bright. The average drive time from Melbourne along this route is 3.5 hours.

From Melbourne by Public Transport
The public V/Line service runs daily buses between Bright and Wangaratta Railway Station, with most services quickly connecting with a train service to or from Melbourne.

Getting Around Bright
There are no Taxi's or Ubers. Bright is small and we have easily circumnavigated the entire town on foot in an hour. You can walk from any point in town to the reception venue in a matter of minutes.. or bring your bicycle/skateboard!

What to Bring
Extra Clothing
Get ready for the full spectrum of weather—fall in Bright can range from hot and humid to cold and frosty, so be prepared for anything! And don’t forget, your best dancing shoes are a must!

Gifts
Gifts are not mandatory, but if you’d like to contribute, a "Wishing Well" will be available on the day of the event. If you prefer to bring a physical gift, feel free—there will be a designated area for those as well.

Thing to do in Bright
Walks/Hikes
Choosing which walk to go on is a two-coffee decision – there are just so many. Thankfully, the Walks & Trails map will help you narrow it down.

Mountain Biking
Want to break a bone? Please do it after the wedding and get "sendy" in the Mystic Mountain Bike Park. Kim will probably join you!

Food & Drink
Honestly Bright is home to some of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at, as well as some damn fine liquor! No way we will be able to list them all, but do yourself a favour and try out "Tomahawks", "Bright Brewery", "Hometown" and "Ginger Baker Cafe" because they are fucking bangers!
